In recent years, we have become increasingly aware of the financial and other pressures that school life places on low-income families, including the cost of school uniform and school trips, as well as related issues such as stigma, low self esteem, and barriers to education.
Our local Cost of the School Day programme was set up in response to seeing this need, having been inspired by CPAG’s national initiative with the same name.
Our mission is to see a community free from poverty, where everyone can afford life’s essentials.
