Our foodbank was founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. We are part of the Trussell national network of food banks.
We run centres 5 times a week on different days in Tadworth, Ewell, Banstead, Epsom and Leatherhead, offering emergency food, support and advice to people experiencing severe financial hardship.
In the last year, we provided food and support to around 7,500 people. Demand for the Foodbank doubled due to the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis, but has fallen in the last two years as we have sought to tackle the root causes of food poverty.
We have seen a 50% reduction on clients visiting the foodbank 6 or more times in the last year compared to 2023/24, as we help people to address their underlying needs.
However, the number of clients coming to the foodbank for the first time is nearly as high as it has been in previous years, showing that the foodbank continues to be a vital source of support for people in crisis.
Please help us as we support people in financial hardship.
Our mission is to see a community free from poverty, where everyone can afford life’s essentials.
